Syndication is available at Junkylife via RSS.  An easy-to-use and super-cool feature which allows you to keep up to date on your favorite Junkylife blogs without having to visit each and every page, every day.  Simply add the supplied RSS feed to your preferred news aggregator and a Junkylife category will be created for you (complete with an import of each and every Junkylife member RSS feed!) 

You can download the up-to-date OPML file required to import these entries by right-clicking and 'Saving-As' to your desktop, importing into your favorite aggregator.

What is RSS?

RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS: the "recent changes" page of a wiki, the content of an online forum, even the revision history of a book. Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way.

What is an Aggregator?

A news aggregator can help you keep up with all your favorite weblogs by checking their RSS feeds and displaying the new items from each of them.  The two recommended by Junkylife are Sharp Reader and Feedreader.  My personal favorite is Feedreader, however there are several free readers out there that get the job done just as well.

How do I find the Junkylife RSS feed?

Each Junkylife blog has it's own individual feed, available in the following format: http://www.junkylife.com/BLOGGER/index.php/feed. Most Junkylife blogs also contain additional RSS info in their side or navigation bars.  You can also opt to download our Junkylife OPML file (an XML file containing all the necessary info to aggregate each and every Junkylife blog) which is kept up to date and provided by clicking here.
